MySpaceTagged
Next Andy claimed to have a system that used a license plate numbers to prevent online ID fraud in a social network. He claimed that MySpace had offered him $100 million for the system (which was supposed to have been, but obviously never was, patented). When it was pointed out to Andy that MySpace itself was just purchased by News Corp for only $500 million, he would brush such assertions off and claim that his technology was still worth 1/5th the value of the whole MySpace operation.Xtagged.com
Eventually Andy got bored with claiming that he was about to get bought out by or was angling for a partnership with MySpace. He changed the name of his scam to Xtagged and was off to the races.phony partnerships
Xtagged claims at various times to be partnered with Nike, Geico, eBay, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, and a host of other large and legitimate corporations.Playground
Once Andy had his new name it was time to try marketing. He began with a tiny bar in Park City called The Playground. He convinced it's owners to allow Xtagged to promote itself there. The effort lasted only half as long as the club itself, which was only a couple of months.Charities
Andy tries to get into the good graces of investors and potential partners by claiming to use Xtagged revenue (zero at last count) to support various charities. At various times he claims to to partner with or contribute large portions of Xtagged.com's non-existent revenue to MADD, Global Warming, Healthcare, and various other causes. None of this charitable work has ever been confirmed.investors
Andy makes his living by duping investors into putting money onto his scams. Investors as young as 16 have been suckered out of sums ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Most investors are told Andy will be selling them the LAST 1% of the company, only to find out that he's sold another last 1% to someone else.videos
Lately Andy has taken to creating comic videos in which he animates a frog for the launch of his Buzzwiser energy drink, claims to fix healthcare with Xtagged revenue, and pretends to be standing in front of a big screen television (actually a laptop projector) where he gives Mariah Carey a sip of his new (fake) energy drink. The videos have become a laughing stock of the web.sale
As the heat rose on Andy's scams, he began bragging that Xtagged was about to be sold to a HUGE investor (such as Google or Microsoft) who was about to pay between $50 million and $1 BILLION dollars for the Xtagged website! The announcement was to be made on New Years Eve. of course the announcement never came, and Andy blames this on complaints from investors duped by his scam.Andy now claims that Xtagged has been sold to someone named Steve. Andy impersonates Steve as often as he can in email and claims that the new owner wants to sue City Weekly, PartyUtah.com and a host of investors who's money Andy stole and who are now cooperating with an SEC investigation into Andy's practices.
